1.2 million doses of flu vaccines have been given nationwide this year thus far, and unfortunately due to this unprecedented demand, NZ is now left with very little stock. The Ministry of Health has requested that flu vaccines be given only to high risk groups:

  • Pregnant women
  • Children under 5 years old with serious lung conditions
  • People with asthma, heart disease, diabetes and other health conditions that make them more susceptible to influenza
  • People aged 65 years and older with significant health issues

There is also high demand in Australia, and it is unlikely NZ will get any further supply this season. If you have any concerns, feel free to contact us.
